Well….only a
year since the last one…disgraceful!
First and
foremost, the band’s as busy as normal at this time of year.
As well as our usual customers, there’s the weekly ‘al
fresco’ appearances at the Pier Tavern in Ilfracombe (when
the weather allows) and many other private functions. We’d
like to say a big thank you to the committee and friends of
the Combe Martin Festival for making us most welcome and
putting on a great show as in previous years.
Whilst at a gig
the other week, a prospective organiser asked how long The
Split Personalities had been running. It occurred to us that
having started in 1998, the band’s 10th
anniversary had been and gone without a mention. Quite an
achievement don’t you think? With a couple of changes to the
original line up, with some 5 members past and present (plus
a couple of guest appearances along the way), it’s time to
devote an archive gallery to celebrate the fact! More soon….
The now not so
recent purchase of new pa equipment has brought a new depth
of sound to the band, as well as allowing greater scope for
outdoor or larger gigs.
Cory ‘the bird’
has settled in well and is contributing to the play list
with his choice of songs. We believe he has written his own
piece which he his reluctant to play, so please don’t
hesitate to ask him about it at the venues.
Hopefully the
website will be kept more up-to-date, but with all our
commitments it’s sometimes difficult, but no more excuses.
Finally, we are
receiving many email requests for gigs, but are still short
on your comments and opinions of the website, the gigs or
indeed anything you wish to tell us about, including any
photos you would like us to publish.
